Credit Card Fraud, Chargebacks, and Legal Consequences
Impulsive 3 LLC takes the issue of credit card fraud and fraudulent chargebacks very seriously. Any individual who attempts to commit credit card theft, fraud, or fraudulent chargebacks will be reported to major credit bureaus, including TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax, as well as federal and local law enforcement authorities.
Legal Penalties for Credit Card Fraud
Under federal law, individuals found guilty of attempting credit card fraud may face severe legal consequences. Specifically, individuals found attempting credit card fraud may be subject to:
- Imprisonment for up to ten years and/or a monetary fine of up to $10,000 for a single attempted fraudulent act.
- Investigation and prosecution under the provisions of Title 18 of the United States Code, Section 3056, which grants authority to federal agencies such as the United States Secret Service and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to detect and arrest individuals committing fraud related to credit card transactions, electronic funds transfers, and related offenses.
As per Title 18 U.S.C. Section 3056(b), the Secret Service and FBI are specifically authorized to detect and investigate violations involving credit or debit card fraud, false identification documents, and certain financial crimes. Furthermore, under Title 18 U.S.C. Sections 1029 and 1030, these agencies have the authority to investigate fraud offenses involving computers, electronic devices, and other related activities.
Credit card fraud is a serious crime. Therefore, any attempt to falsely claim that a transaction was not made by you after it has been processed will lead to legal action, and you may be prosecuted for committing credit card fraud.
Chargebacks and Fraudulent Transactions

- Denial of a legitimate purchase that you have made, commonly referred to as a "fraudulent chargeback," is illegal and may result in an investigation and legal action.
